How does Calgon work?
Calgon has a unique formulation with active ingredients being polycarboxylates which softens hard water, preventing limescale from forming in the first place. It is not a descaler, it is purely a preventative—which means that the sooner you introduce Calgon into your daily washing routine, the better!
You should use Calgon in every wash and at all temperatures to get the best limescale prevention. Just put the recommended dose of Calgon in the main wash compartment of the dispensing drawer on top of the laundry detergent. Calgon goes to work immediately as soon as the water starts to flow.
With Calgon you only need the amount of detergent recommended for soft water in the chosen wash programme and type of fabric. So overall, you can save up to 25% on the amount of detergent you use.
